Explore Distributed Energy Resources (DER)

The 'Explore resources' page helps users looking to buy flexibility find out which resources are available in a specific region. You can access the page by clicking 'Explore' on the navigation bar.

A 'resource' is any asset or capability that can be dispatched to meet a system's needs. For each resource, you'll see key data points, including:

• Region: The geographic area where the resource is located.
• Capacity (MW): The amount of electricity in megawatts that the resource can import/export to the network.
• Asset type: The kind of technology the resource uses (e.g., battery storage, commercial demand response, etc.).

For our basic membership users, the names of sellers are kept anonymous.

Filtering and Sorting Resources

To easily find what you're looking for, use the filter and sort functionalities located at the top of the page. You can:

• Filter by region and asset type.
• Sort resources by capacity size.

Full Membership Benefits

Users with a full membership have access to additional features:

• Seller Information: You'll see the full names of sellers, not just anonymised data.
• Enquire about a Resource: To start a conversation with a seller, simply click the 'Enquire' button on the right side of a resource's row. Piclo will facilitate this communication between the buyer and seller.

To upgrade your membership and access these features, click on the 'Request Upgrade' button on the banner at the top of the table.
